The Padres are showing great value once again against the Cardinals. San Diego has taken each of the first two games in the series and are coming off an offensive outburst in last night’s 12-1 victory. I look for the Padres to keep it rolling given tonight’s pitching matchup.
San Diego will send out Odrismaer Despaigne who nearly threw a no hitter last time he took the mound at home. Despaigne has a 1.33 ERA and 0.983 WHIP over 3 home starts and it’s hard to not like his chances against a Cardinals offense that is averaging just 2.4 runs and hitting .229 as a team over their last 7 games.
